The bartenders were great - always having a good time, and the drinks were delicious. Some of the other pools are on the cold side. The kids' pool is very warm and shallow and was perfect for my three year old. We also enjoyed the pool and beach areas. A couple restaurants have kids menus, a nice touch. Service is impeccable - my wine glass never went empty and the dishes were brought out promptly (a must when eating out with small children). It's not gourmet five-star dining but the food is solid. We tried three of the four a la cartes (skipping the French because they didn't seem to have any good options for kids) and one restaurant at Breathless. The staff were attentive in serving drinks and refilling coffee. Our family particularly liked the sushi, ceviches, paella and other fish dishes, fresh squeezed juices and fruit, and the chocolate fountain. The buffet has more options than you could ever need. The food was well above what we have some to expect from all inclusives. I'm surprised at how negative some of the reviews are on here because from our point of view, the resort was great! At the preferred reserved pool it was allowed for vacationners to play their music, which is unacceptable and these people should have been told to go to the other pool or turn off their music. In addition we ordered a few bottles from the preferred lounge and the ones we finally received after being given the run around for a couple hours were not the correct ones, then were told they didn't have. The only persone which we believe gave us good service is Flor who works for Unlimited Vacation Club. Only a very few good waiters most of them seemend bothered when we would request drinks. We would always get our wine half way through our meals. The waiting time at restaurants before getting served our food once ordered was quite long. Lack of towels in the room, had to ask may times for face cloths. The butler was not very good, everytime we asked for something it always seemed like it was very hard to do (dining reservation at the hotel). Had to ask a 4 times before I went to see a cleaning lady and asked to borrow her spray. This was by far the worst experience we have had with our Unlimited Time share. We lost almost an hour but then they prepared one of the Bale for us. When we went there they couldn't see our reservation, we checked with our butler and the reception a night ago.

We booked Bale Belong All Day with full breakfast for two at Breathless. The buffet at Now Onyx is a better option comparing to special restaurants. We had dinner at Mercure and Bluewater Grill at Now Onyx and Picante at Breathless. The nightlife is better at Breathless, there's a small casino there also. Because they are sister resorts you can go to Breathless and use their facilities also. If you want to calmer water you can go to the next resort Breathless.
However, they clean all the seaweeds every morning. Because of the constant wind, the ocean was always wavy and there was a lot of seaweed. They also gave us a room with the swim-up pool with a jacuzzi outside. Because we booked it through a travel website they upgraded us to the Preferred Club.
