I would have loved a beach pool there, filled with sea water, with those views, but safe. I’ve never seen this before, but it makes soooo much sense! I remember not enjoying Hawaii because the beach experience involved constantly getting crushed by waves. One of the coolest things about the Sydney beaches were the swimming pools for those who didn’t want to be constantly hit by waves:Ĭheck out how well the pools integrate into the beach from this photo taken by drone! I first noticed how early the locals were up the previous morning, when we went to a cafe at 6:00am and it was PACKED! I love early morning cities! The sun was fully out, and so were the locals! Even on the weekend! Soon, we were on our way climbing through the incredible rocky path along the water.Īt one point, showed me a secret spot where the rock formation formed the most perfect chair! I was completely surprised and amazed when we arrived to the Coogee beach area early in the morning just in time for this view: Always a winning travel strategy if you ask me! I did not research anything before coming to Sydney and just trusted my friends to show me around. That was the case with who picked up me on my second (and final for now) morning in Sydney to show me the best of what his home city has to offer. You can find more information about Bronte Beach here. The best part about travel is meeting awesome people in an awesome way. I would love to go back in summer just to the beaches, catch the morning light and have a leisurely swim with not a care in the world. It was a warm winters day with a bit of an icy breeze in the unprotected areas yet there were still a few people swimming. How lucky we are to live in this country, sometimes you forget to appreciate what is around you. What a wonderful place, during the whole walk I was stunned by nature at its rawest and by design with the rock pools, it is just magnificent. My only disappointment was just not being there before dawn, maybe next time. Having been to Bondi at Easter this year and not having a great deal of time, I decided to start the walk at Bronte beach at the first tidal pool. It wasn’t a long walk but stopping and taking photos did take time but I managed to get it all done and was really happy as I made my way back into Sydney and then to my flight home. My aim was to walk from Bronte Beach and if time permitted to get to Coogee Beach. I myself, rather than spending double on airfare, decided to stay over and go on Saturday thus enabling me to go out to the southern beach area of Sydney to have a look at the tidal pools I have seen many times in pictures. Luckily she has had a reprieve for a few weeks and went home Friday happy in the knowledge.

Not being sure what to expect as she may have had to have an operation, I took my camera just in case.
